•    Sculptures, paintings, and comprehensive research commenting on the state of lawn care laborers specifically in Hailes Plantation, the wealthiest neighborhood in Gainesville, FL.

 

Really, in 2018? | Two Person Exhibition | WARPhaus | Gainesville, FL
•    Exhibition of combined works involving family dynamics and their influences on gender and sexual orientation through developing adolescents.

•    Naturalistic drawings depicting disregarded alleyways and city spaces in hope to elevate the beauty in an overlooked landscape.

New Growth | Port Angeles Fine Arts Center | Webster's Woods Sculpture Park | Port Angeles, WA |

•     A series of seven sculptures throughout a specific trail of the Sculpture Garden. All of them dedicated to the working class of the saw and lumber mill industries prevalent throughout Port Angeles's history.

•     A series of seven sculptures throughout a specific trail of the Sculpture Garden. All of them dedicated to the working class of the saw and lumber mill industries prevalent throughout Port Angeles's history.

•     A sculpture consisting of 24 paintings depicting three generations of tools my family has used as a commentary on the generational constructs holding back working class families.

 

2018

•    The two works selected, Uncle Shawn, and Working Objects, both highlight the working class through their invisibility, displaying their tools as artifacts and allowing the viewer to become the laborer.


NOMO SAD DAYS | Depot Building | Gainesville, FL | Curator/Artist Kevin Mahoney     
•    Rubber band styled ball of hoses that captured the frustration of the working class and also fit the American aesthetic of the exhibition. 

 

Thingy | Moisturizer Gallery | Gainesville, FL | Curators/Artists Christian Casas and Dessarae Bassil 
•    A commentary on leisure and labor, I created a short putt putt golf course and a short lawn with a toy lawn mower,

•    TEDxUF juried exhibition surrounded by the idea of expectations, at First Magnitude in Gainesville, FL.

•    A Florida death row cell I constructed out of steel with a floor made of sand as a commentary on the absurdism of life and the prison system.

•    A juried art exhibition hosted by the University of Florida’s Sculpture Club.

•    An exhibition of affordable artwork displaying 3D modeled and printed artworks.

•    Exhibiting the winners of the 2013 Scholastics Art and Writing Awards for my Silver Key with Distinction Portfolio.

•    Exhibiting national winners of 2013 Scholastics Art and Writing National Achievement Awards.

•    Exhibition about self-image, where I won Curators Choice and People’s Choice.  

 

2016    

 

Trashformations | Florida Museum of Natural History | Gainesville, FL 
-First Place- 
•    1st place in the college division of the Alachua county art competition that requires the artwork to be constructed of at least 70% recycled or recyclable materials

 

2013    

 

Scholastics Art & Writings Awards | Carnegie Hall | Manhattan, NY 
-National Silver Key with Distinction and American Visions Award Winner-
•    A national award for a portfolio of 2D colored pencil drawings on black foam board. It pictured naturalistic alleyways in harsh contrast as depiction of the treatment of unprivileged spaces and disregarded spaces with element of hope through lighting.
